18 days waterproof
Heavy rain tends to be localised and often occurs completely without warning. The sewage system is soon stretched to its limits and surface water which accumulates flows off in an uncontrolled way. If it runs into the light wells, you need to know that the basement windows won’t let you down.
All MEATHERMO AQUA casement windows undergo endurance testing for flood watertightness at ift Rosenheim (Institute for Window Systems). The test entails exposing the windows to steadily rising water levels over a period of several days.
MEATHERMO AQUA 80 x 60 cm windows withstand this continuous increase in water pressure in the test fixture for 18 days.
This outstanding result in an independent test over such a long period is clear confirmation that you can absolutely rely on MEATHERMO AQUA windows.

Thermal insulated installation
The MEATHERMO AQUA and AQUA PLUS casement windows are shipped with pre-assembled leaves to permit quick and easy installation.
The casement windows in the MEATHERMO AQUA series don’t simply meet all EnEV 2016 standards but exceed them – for guaranteed optimal thermal insulation.
MEATHERMO AQUA casement windows are particularly suitable for installation in water-resistant concrete walls. Thanks to the circumferential sealing flange, MEATHERMO AQUA PLUS casement windows ensure optimal connection to the concrete and are ideal for installation in double walls.

Waterproof installation
With special components and targeted measures, MEA developed windows that meet the requirements of ift Rosenheim testing institute regarding floodproofness up to at least 130 cm* water level and flood resistance up to at least 150 cm*, the MEATHERMO AQUA casement windows with fixed glazing are even waterproof up to a water level of at least 250 cm**.
