Rebuilding the stands at the ski stadium

By rebuilding the stands at the ski stadium in the German alpine resort of Oberstdorf, it was possible to double the previous capacity to 27,000 spectators. Almost the entire standing and seating areas (approximately 3,000 square metres) were fitted with gratings.

Solution – MEASTEP XXL

The requirements for the sloping stands were fulfilled by installing self-supporting MEASTEP XXL steps, each spanning three metres. The ingenious “snow hatch” system which was specially developed for this project greatly simplifies the task of clearing snow in winter.
