A company very close to its customers

Established in 1886 as a metalworking shop and ironmongery, MEA has grown to become an internationally operating group of companies based in the south German town of Aichach, Bavaria. We supply to industrial customers and the building trade, manufacturing in both Western and Eastern Europe as well as in Asia. The MEA Group is well-positioned worldwide through its sales companies, distribution partners on all continents and global logistics network.

Our aim is to help our customers become more efficient, which is why finding ways to make their work easier is a central element of our thought processes and practices. The MEA Group is divided into strategic business units, enabling us to focus on our individual target markets and meet our customers’ highly specific requirements as effectively as possible. Each business unit has a high level of expertise in its particular field and is thoroughly familiar with its users’ specialised needs as well as with the challenges confronting them in their daily work.

Our goal: to make our customers more competitive

Our points of contact are principally planners, engineering firms and architects. We provide builders and construction companies with an extensive array of products and services that meet even the most exacting requirements in terms of safety, functionality, ease of use, economy and longevity.

The majority of our products are distributed by specialist building materials suppliers. We have set ourselves the goal of helping our customers optimise their processes and maximise their performance by resorting to MEA products. In line with our corporate policy, the benefits of our many years of experience, the know-how which derives from intensive cooperation with our suppliers and our productivity gains in the value-added chain are all shared with our customers.

Code of Conduct

The MEA Group has internationally gained the reputation of a reliable and fair business partner through progressive growth and the expansion into new markets and countries. To meet the high requirements with respect to our behaviour in the conduct of daily business and to continue to meet the requirements with respect to how we interact with our business partners, the following code of conduct should function as an ethical and legal compass for our employees.

All employees are committed to the rules contained in the code of conduct. It sets out the values, principles and procedures that should determine how the MEA Group conducts its business dealings.

Each of us assumes responsibility for their actions. When it comes to complying with our guidelines, we count on the joint assumption of responsibility by the company’s management, superiors, as well as all employees.

Misconduct can result in significant personal consequences for each individual employee, as well as for the entire company. Therefore, any infringement of our principles and guidelines will be sanctioned and not be tolerated.

We, the MEA Group, would like to take a consequent step towards complying with both our international and local responsibility with the following code of conduct, in order to comply with our legal obligations and also our ethical principles. The following code of conduct is to be regarded as being the overriding standard for all employees of the MEA Group.

The MEA Group is alert to its ecological footprint and develops processes to reduce the burden on the environment.

Our environmental awareness is evidenced by specific measures on all levels, from manufacturing to recycling of products at the end of service life.
