The following guidelines should be considered when tendering for drainage channels in traffic areas. The system is based on the "Standard Specifications for Construction Works" (StLB). The sequence of points listed in the individual items depends on the specific site situation and must be completed accordingly.

Trade: Structural earthworks:

  • Release position floor:

Excavate, transport, and store soil for traffic areas. Soil class […] according to DIN 18300, excavation depth up to […] m, transport distance up to […] m. Compact the subsoil, deformation modulus E V2 , according to ZTVE-StB at least 45 MN/m². The quantity will be determined according to […] in m³. Notes for the tendering authority: The required deformation modulus E V2 must be verified according to DIN 18134 (plate load test). If the deformation modulus required according to ZTVE-StB is not achieved, measures for soil improvement, soil stabilization, or soil replacement must be taken.

  • Prepare the leveling position:

Prepare the subgrade, permissible deviation from the target height ± […] cm. Billing in m² . Note for the tendering authority: The transverse, longitudinal and sloping gradients for drainage of the subgrade, superstructure and surface, as specified in RAS-Ew, must already be taken into account during the preparation of the subgrade.

  • Position trenches

Excavate, transport, and store soil for trenches according to the subgrade profile. Soil class […] according to DIN 18300, excavation depth up to […] m, trench base width from […] to […] m, transport distance up to […] m. Compact the subsoil until it is stable (or according to ZTVE-StB if driven over). The quantity is determined according to […] in m³ . Note for the tendering authority: Not applicable if the drainage channel is installed on the subgrade.

Drainage work:

  • Position of drainage channel:

Supply and install a drainage channel according to class […] as per DIN EN 1433, made of material: […] including end walls with/without pipe stubs, pipe stubs, and fastening elements for securing the cover. Nominal size […], length […] m, height […] mm, width […] m, edge design as […]. Channel base with gradient type […]. Construct the channel body on concrete supports of grade B […], height […] cm, and back supports on both sides, width […] cm. Billing in meters. Note to the tendering authority: Accessories such as end walls and pipe stubs can be specified in separate items if necessary.

  • Relocate the inlet box:

Inlet box as an addition to the drainage channel according to class […] as per DIN. Length […] m, height […] mm, width […] m, edge design as […]. Billed per piece.

  • Position cover:

Supply and install a cover as an addition to the drainage channel according to class […] as per DIN EN 1433. Material […] as a […] grate with |…] closure system. Inlet cross-section […], length […] m, width […] m. Billing in m.
