It is with profound gratitude and deep respect that we bid farewell to Hannes Meisinger an exceptional entrepreneur, a devoted citizen, and a man who always understood responsibility not as a privilege, but as a duty to society and the community.
For decades, Hannes Meisinger shaped the history and success of the MEA Group in a truly decisive way. Taking over the company at a young age, he transformed it with vision, courage, and innovative strength from a regionally rooted family business into an internationally successful group of companies. Under his leadership, MEA grew from around 150 employees to well over 1,000, becoming one of the largest and most important employers in his hometown of Aichach. The introduction of new, innovative materials, modern production methods, and a clear focus on internationalization all bore his unmistakable signature always guided by his unwavering commitment to quality, reliability, and long-term, sustainable thinking.
Yet for Hannes Meisinger, economic success was never an end in itself. He firmly believed that entrepreneurship goes hand in hand with social responsibility. This conviction was reflected not only in his deep commitment to the well-being of his employees, but also in his extraordinary dedication to cultural, sporting, and social life in Aichach.
A cause especially close to his heart was the Hannes & Lissy Meisinger Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, which for decades has provided tangible help, support, and hope to countless people affected by the disease.
Hannes Meisinger also assumed responsibility in public life. For many years, he served on the city council and the district council, actively promoting democracy, social cohesion, and the sustainable development of his home region. His life’s work was honored with numerous distinctions, including the Federal Cross of Merit and honorary citizenship of the city of Aichach recognitions that reflect both his achievements and his enduring impact in a particularly meaningful way.
His life’s work and his example will live on in the MEA Group, in the city of Aichach, and in the hearts of the many people whose lives he touched.
